Maninder Kaur NP-C
Maninder Kaur (patients love to call her Mani) is a board-certified Adult Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner from American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. Mani is licensed in the state of Texas, Arizona, Idaho, New Mexico, Maine, and Florida. She is DOT Certified Medical Examiner. She attended Texas Woman’s University in Dallas.
Mani holds more than seven years of clinical experience including adult-geriatric primary care, interventional pain management, weight loss program, testosterone replacement therapy, and smoking cessation. Mani is formally trained in trigger point injections, knee, and shoulder joint injections. Prior to becoming a Nurse Practitioner, Mani has worked as a registered nurse with ortho surgical, colorectal, general surgical patients, and med-surge patients. She has worked as a home health RN in the Dallas metroplex. Mani has learned some of the common causes of non-compliance among patients are: lack of affordable access to the primary care, barriers to see a provider in a typical brick and mortar setting due to location, transportation availability, busy schedule, holiday hours etc.
Mani strongly believes in giving back to community. She has been actively involved in the community. She worked closely with Dallas Cricket League (DCL) to prepare recommendations for best practice behavior for DCL teams to return to competitive game during COVID 19 pandemic. She has served as a guest speaker few times at a local radio station for Adult Health & Weight loss consultations.
Mani is a migrant but Texas has become her home. She is fluent in three languages: English, Hindi, and Punjabi. She is passionate about women’s professional empowerment. She has been a mentor and prepared aspiring nursing students to pass NCLEX examinations. She serves as a career coach to aspiring registered nurses (RNs) to become nurse practitioners.
In her free time, she likes spending quality time with her husband and twin children (a boy and a girl). She loves exercising, baking, and going out with family & friends.
